Faustina the Younger

Faustina the Younger (130-176) was the wife and cousin of Marcus Aurelius. The couple had 13 children together!
She was the daughter of Antoninus Pius and Faustina the Elder. She was given the title of Augusta and Mater Castrorum (mother of the camp), by Aurelius’s soldiers. She was well-respected among her husband’s men. Faustina the Younger was deified by her husband after her death in 176 AD, and her husband created a temple in her honor.
